The global apparel market is predicted to be $650 billion by 2020. Bangladesh has 6.4% of market share & apparel export is increasing every year. Apparel export growth of Bangladesh is having massive opportunities to be a global leader in the export of garments. Now Bangladesh is the 2^nd largest apparel exporter in the world. About 81% of its export earnings are coming from this sector. It is encouraging apparel exporters to expand their business in the new markets. Government also announced special incentives for nontraditional markets.

Apparel industry is a people oriented industry.  Currently it has 4 million of employees. So, it can generate a lot of employment opportunity for both skilled and unskilled people. However the story is not that straight forward like come and win. Professionals had to go through numerous challenges and they had to overcome many setbacks. Management efficiency is one of the most important key for success. If the management is efficient many barriers will be easy to overcome. Participants will understand the critical business aspects of apparel industry, global and local issues regarding setting a factory and running business, financial modeling for apparel factory, regulations and benefits for apparel industries in Bangladesh.
